1:1 Yoga Sessions

Private yoga sessions are the quickest and most effective way to realize the benefits that yoga has to offer. Why? Because each an every practice tailored specifically to your goals and your body.

Who benefits from private yoga classes?

Working with a yoga teacher in a one-on-one setting is beneficial to anyone because the poses, breathing and meditation practices are customized to meet the individual’s specific needs. You might consider private yoga classes if you:

  • Enjoy public group classes, but want to fine tune your practice

  • Want to take a public class, but then feel anxiety start to rise up in your throat

  • Have an injury that you’d like to work around or heal from

Are private yoga sessions more expensive?

That depends on how you look at it. Yes, the price tag for a one-to-one session with me is more than the cost of a drop-in pass for a public group class. However, the class will be tailored to your one very unique being: body, mind, and soul. This allows you to address your goals faster and in a more targeted way than you could through attending a group class. In the long run, you may find a private session gives you the biggest bang for your yoga buck.

What is a private or semi-private yoga session like?

Before we meet, we will talk through your goals and discuss what you’re hoping to get from your yoga practice: relief from pain, building nervous system resilience, developing a strong core, or something else. I will design a practice for our first session together that targets those goals.

During the first session, we will walk through a practice and discuss your desired outcomes. As we practice, I will keep checking in with you and adapting the practice to fit your body. Our continual feedback loop provides the opportunity for you to co-create the most beneficial practice for you. Subsequent sessions will build on what we worked on in the previous sessions.

How long is a 1:1 yoga session?

60 minutes.

Do I have to commit to a certain number of private sessions?

Nope. While there’s no requirement that you take a set number of 1:1 yoga classes, the results are cumulative, so you will see greater benefits from a series of private sessions over taking one or two.
